Novice Camps - NOV1
The purpose of this camp is to prepare young players for their upcoming hockey season! The main focus will be on skating; which is the first fundamental of hockey. The other fundamentals like puck control, passing and shooting will also be introduced. The camp is meant to be fun, and give the players a positive learning experience. First year players are welcome to attend NOV1-11.
Novice Camps - NOV2
Intended for players with 2+ years of hockey experience. This camp follows the same format as our traditional half-day atom and peewee camps. Each day will include 1hr of skating, 1.75hr of off-ice and 1.25hr of on ice skills. The skating sessions will include edge work, forward stride, backward skating and more as appropriate. The off –ice sessions will emphasis teamwork and some conditioning. There will also be time for lunch. The on ice skill sessions will include a lot of station work covering the fundamentals of hockey- puck control, passing, and shooting. These skills will be combined in a variety of drills and a game on the last day.
Participants are supervised through the duration of the camp. Please provide your own lunch and snacks (we are nut free), and bring running shoes for off ice.
